ABOUT THE WATERWAY

Why is the KooyongKoot special?

The KooyongKoot is located on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people. It supports rich areas of biodiversity and as an urban waterway, flowing through a landscape of dense residential and commercial land use, it offers green areas of space, supporting community and cultural connection.

Mission

Community and all stakeholders are working together to heal, strengthen and ensure the resilience of KooyongKoot and its catchment
